How do I get started in affiliate marketing?

Just getting started? There is a lot to learn, but that's ok. Here are some of the basics:

  • After signing up, you will get a unique link to our subscription page. When someone signs up using your link, the sale is automatically attributed to you.

  • You can share this link on your website, on social media, in online discussions, via private messaging and email, even in person with QR codes.

  • Most commonly, the key is to create and publish content that promotes RateShout on any or all platforms available, and sometimes even promoting that content via paid ads. Getting more views on your content leads to more clicks on your link (referrals), which lead to sign-ups and commission payouts.

For in-depth training on affiliate marketing, we highly recommend the Wealthy Affiliate training platform. It's great for beginners and a fun way to earn while you learn!

Can I use your content?

Absolutely. Be careful though, search engines often rank duplicated content lower than the original, so you'd end up competing with us (we don't mind) and anyone else using the same content.

The best approach is to create your own content, related to your specific niche, and use ours as a supplementary, persuasive boost.

We will be adding display ad graphics, how-to videos, market insights and more, which you can access from the members area after you sign up.

Can I get access to the app?

To avoid misuse, we are only allowing subscribers to access the app.

Is this available in my country?

Short answer: Yes! There are just a few things to consider:

1) We are based in Australia, so Australian customers have to pay GST. To make this fairer, we have a separate order form in AUD, with tax calculated automatically. Your affiliate link will be provided in the members section.

2) You are responsible for your own legal, business and tax compliance in your country of operation. We do not advise on any such matters. If in doubt, you should seek professional legal and financial advice.

3) Google censored in your country? Don't worry. Our app connects to just about every reviews and ratings platform that we know of. There'll be something available to suit you!

How much can I earn?

The sky is the limit!

Each customer you refer earns you 20% of their ongoing bill. so, for example, if you sign up 10 customers per month, at $99 per month, you'll be earning $1,188 per month by your 6th month.

Factors that can impact your earnings include:

  • Yearly subscriptions: higher payouts, but only once per year.

  • Downline commissions: earned when your referrals win more referrals.

How do downline commissions work?

If you refer a subscriber, they automatically join a referral program, to encourage sharing the platform. If your referred subscriber then refers a new subscriber, you earn 5% of that new customer's subscription fee.

Can I recruit downline affiliates who aren't customers?

Yes! There is a secondary signup form that you can share with anyone. If they become a RateShout affiliate, you will earn 5% of the subscription fee from any customers they refer.

This will NOT affect their commission, they still earn their full 20%, just like you.

Wouldn't it be easier to just recruit affiliates?

Yes and no. Recruiting affiliates can be hard work, especially when you consider that not all affiliates will make regular referrals. For example:

If you recruit 5 affiliates a month, and 20% of them refer 5 subscribers a month, at $99 per subscription, you've earned 5% of $495 - just $24.75.

After 6 months at the same rate of recruitment, that's $148.50 per month, from 30 affiliates.

Compare this to referring 5 subscribers per month, instead: At the same $99 per subscriber, you're adding $99 to your passive income every month - that's almost $600 at the end of the same 6 months.

And remember: Your referred subscribers count as recruits in your downline, too!

However - don't let this stop you from building a passive income from downline affiliate recruits. If your business model is in sharing methods to make money online, RateShout allows you to recommend our affiliate program, AND earn your slice of the pie.

Do I earn from affiliates recruited by MY recruits?

No. We want to focus primarily on helping small businesses compete in the local SEO space. We don't want to focus on building a pyramid marketing or MLM network.

The reason we offer the second tier commission is to encourage maximum sharing of the actual product, rather than the money-making opportunity.

That said, we still want to see you earning big commissions, so get amongst it!
